What is the Low Cost Clinic?
The Low Cost Clinic is part of the Similia matching service, designed specifically for patients who would benefit from homeopathic support but for whom the standard consultation fee is a barrier.
Through the programme, we connect patients with Year 3 and Year 4 student homeopaths who are completing their clinical training hours as part of an accredited four year degree programme. They are not yet fully qualified, but they are experienced, trained to a high standard and supervised throughout their student practice.
Are student homeopaths safe to see?
Yes, with the right conditions in place, which is exactly what the Low Cost Clinic ensures. Every student practitioner on our programme is in their third or fourth year of a recognised homeopathy degree, is insured through their training institution, practises under a code of ethics and is receiving clinical supervision.
We are transparent about their student status. You will always know that you are working with a student practitioner, not a fully qualified homeopath.
What does it cost?
Fees are set by individual student practitioners but are typically significantly lower than a fully qualified homeopath. You can expect to discuss fees directly with your matched student practitioner before committing to an appointment.
Is it right for me?
The Low Cost Clinic is well suited to patients with straightforward or less complex health concerns who are comfortable working with an advanced student. If you are dealing with a complex, long-standing or serious condition, we would recommend a fully qualified practitioner and we will say so honestly when you enquire.
